To evaluate the value of IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α and serum ferritin (SF) in differential diagnosis of systemic-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis (SoJIA) and Kawasaki disease (KD), each of 53 children with SoJIA, KD and healthy children were selected in Children's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. Blood concentrations of IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, white blood cell(WBC), CRP, ESR and SF were compared in children with the diseases and healthy children. The results showed that blood concentrations of WBC, CRP, ESR, IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-α in SoJIA group and KD group were significantly higher than those in healthy children. Blood concentrations of SF and CRP in SoJIA were significantly higher than those in KD children. Serum concentrations of IL-10 in children with SoJIA significantly lower than those in KD children. Thus, combined detection of blood IL-10, SF, CRP can be used for early clinical differential diagnosis of SoJIA and KD.
